Supervision

I remember when I started my practice I felt so lost and overwhelmed. I didn’t know who to ask for advice, or if I would even have any success. Through trial and error, lots of training and a solid commitment to providing good therapy to adolescents and adults, I was able to launch a very successful private practice, and I want to help others do the same.

 

My professional experience includes many years of teaching and supervising teachers to help improve their practice. I approach my clinical work from a person-in-environment perspective adhering to the social work code of ethics. I have done agency work, intensive out-patient work as well as working in a homeless shelter providing therapeutic support. My theoretical foundation is in DBT and CBT, and I have done extensive training in treating trauma, including EMDR, poly-vagal theory and attachment theory. And I’m always learning and eager to share what I learn with others!

 

By working with me, you will learn the skills necessary to ethically, effectively and legally run your own practice. 

 

Clinical supervision is $130 per hour and will support:

• Case conceptualization and treatment planning

• Addressing treatment resistance and therapy interfering behavior

• Managing crises

• Learning new therapeutic skills

 

Supervised billing for Medicaid and private pay clients is $550 per month and includes:

• An account in my EHR Sessions Health which includes submitting claims and processing payments, forms and assessments.

• A profile page on my website

• An email address @magnoliavt.com

• Educational materials

• Referrals

 

I am also happy to help with navigating the licensing process, studying for the exam and teaching about taxes and bookkeeping!
