Ellen Repstad has spent 20 years working with adolescents as a teacher which taught her acceptance, patience, and brain science. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults and seniors. She has experience with groups, individuals, and families.
After teaching middle and high school for many years, Ellen decided to get a master’s degree in educational leadership. Eventually, she came to
realize that social work was where her heart was. She earned her Master’s of Social Work in 2019 and has supported her community since then in various roles. After leaving public education, she worked as a case manager for seniors helping them to navigate benefits and services. She has also been a clinical service coordinator at a homeless shelter, helping adults and families access resources and housing. Most recently, she has been a clinician in an intensive outpatient treatment program providing DBT, designed to help individuals address significant mental health struggles, including suicidality.
